The History of Kat (English dubbed version)

My name is Kat. I was nicknamed this by a guy named John who kissed me in a night club while dancing. Later, we went on a date in a park and then I never saw him again. He looked like Brandon Lee from the Crow and was pretty much dressed like that. If I could find him I would thank him for creating my identity, increasing my confidence, and giving me one of the biggest boosts to self esteem I have ever known since. No I did not "do" him. Icky!!!

My real name is Kathleen Anne. Spelled with a K not a C, who indeed spells it with a C? The name further evolved when I became a nanny and children started calling me Miss Kat. Now everyone I know calls me Miss Kat except my mom, who calls me Leen. I stole her car when I was 16 to go meet that Brandon Lee guy in the park.

History goes a fit out of focus there....

Later after some adventures I settled in Taylor, Michigan and met a projectionist at a movie theatre and fell head over heels because he wore a tuxedo and had dark hair. I admit that Artists are very visual.

I later found out he sang baritone in the Detroit Concert Choir. I drove him to his second audition to Michigan Opera Theatre where he is now an exceptional opera singer. Plus he sings in the choir at church, Metropolitan Methodist in downtown Detroit and I love going to church there. I still feel my heart turn over when I see him in a tuxedo. I lived happily ever after. The end.

Advice for you gals out there: if you like a guy, just go talk to him. It totally works. Cut out this "admiring from afar" business - that doesn't work.

My fun previous paid jobs include:

Fabric Store worker, Seamstress, Nanny, Pet Store worker, Phone Sex Actress, Movie Theatre Usher, Movie Theatre Projectionist, Help Desk Technician, Network Administrator, Artist. The last one is pretty much my favorite. The 4th one makes me VERY popular at parties.

Fun facts:

  • Most of my writing involves jokes and wit. I have been scorned in public by not sticking to the subject and telling enormous tall tales. I can keep a party laughing for hours, and when I am sick I sound just like Kathleen Turner. A question was once posed at a party (while sick and sounding as such) "Who else here just wants to listen to Kat talking" *moan*

  • After viewing 'The Last Dragon’ in 1986 my life completely altered and I became a kung fu master.

  • Humorously after I typed that line, 7th Heaven by Vanity from that movie started playing on my Zune.

  • At parties I enjoy watching people who are imbibing. Imbibing means ‘to absorb or take in as if by drinking’. I shall now require your keys.

  • I have had 48+ dreams in which I have damaged, maimed or lost feeling in my hands, thus causing me to draw maimed-armed anime characters for years. I have never told anyone about that. Well, until now.

  • Speaking of having hands maimed, both of my thumbs were both recently maimed while playing with my hungry iguana. My thumbs are not tasty like peaches. After I finished bleeding I did give her peaches for real. I flinched and yes I did scream like a little girl. My iguana's name is Godzilla, but we call her "Ugly" although she is not. She is 34 inches long. I didn't need stitches, and thank god for paper towels. Dream count 44 +1 Real life maiming experience. You might say my worst dreams have now come true.

  • I have had 5 dreams in which I can fly. In one of those dreams I had 1 missing arm. It's hard to fly with one arm. If I told anyone about that they would probably say I have abandonment issues.

  • I refuse to be conform to the masses; however I am as loyal as a German shepherd and will defend you to the death. Metaphorically speaking. In the event Death was standing next to you I may just point and shout ...and offer a carrot to his pale horse.

  • I’m colorblind. If you look at my gallery you will find very few paintings of red & green.

  • I can understand German, English, Japanese, l33t, HTML and Geek. Adding on some Italian now.

  • I cannot purposefully misspell words; it causes my well-being to decline.

  • I recently sprained an ankle in Mexico and upon returning to the states I told everyone I had been bitten by a sea turtle. I had to walk with a cane. On an elevator I encountered a man in a full shoulder brace with his arm elevated. I told him that those vacations are killing us and told him the sea turtle joke. He deadpanned that he broke his arm saving me from it and he was glad it all worked out. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life.

  • You had to be there.

  • At present I am listening to R.E.M. 'What’s the frequency Kenneth' on my Zune. My Zunes name is Tachikoma and it has a blue silicon skin. I also call my Jeep Tachikoma. They don't mind.

  • I have built 4 Athlon gaming computers. I just finished up a Core 2 Duo System, and it's NICE and fast. I wish I was at home right now. The DVD collection covers an entire wall of the house.

  • Camping is one of my hobbies, it's every July with about 24 of YOUR closest friends. The river is freezing cold but we swim in it anyways and we have a 6 foot hamster ball that we ride down a hill in, and ker-splash! We got another one so now we do races.

  • This list may self destruct in approximately 15 minutes.

  • I Can recognize & name vocal actors in commercials/shows on demand.

  • I can sing alto, baritone and soprano. I can mimic Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban & Celine Dion, woo! I sing in the shower and in the Jeep, commonly soundtracks and show tunes. I don't like to sing in front of Darren cause he's a pro, but he says I sing well.

  • My last party was entitled "Why the hell haven't you had a party, Party” I title my parties because they often go down in history and need to be re-referred to later on.

  • It took me 10 minutes to type this.

    Some Other Fun Stuff

    I love anime, mermaids, rain, blue, iguanas, cats, fantasy novels, & captain crunch. I like eating sushi, playing D&D, fixing computers, playing Heavenly Sword on PS3, and riding mechanical bulls. Yeah, bulls. Yee haw!

    Anime I Dig:

    Tsubasa Chronicles - just started collecting these. Clamp rules. Bleach also rules, I watch it on cartoon network.

    I dig Naruto. I watch the episodes in Japanese and can speak a bit of Japanese but I sound like a cartoon. Dattebayo! I'd love to learn Japanese more, so sometimes I listen to audio files and practice. Kakashi kawaii desu! Anata wa mermaid desu ka? Sugoi! I got a huge episodes set of Naruto. Dave Wittenberg is my hero.

    Blood + (Plus) rocks my world. Great animation and unique story. Hayao Miyasaki also rocks my world as well and my favorite is Spirited Away.

Nausicca Valley of the Wind – actual VHS copy. Score! The Last Unicorn – vhs copy – Score! Hehehehe.
