Welcome to Miss Kat’s sewing Studio, Hmmm, you want costumes eh? I can make performer outfits for your
theatre, and I have it on good authority that my vests are fire-juggling certified. You will not
ignite. I keep your comfort in mind. Hehe. Some of my work was recently in Beauty and the Beast in Renaissance Festival during his comedy juggling ensemble flaming
fire and hilarity act(tm). I have made
all kinds of wench, pirate, and renaissance festival costumes. Cosplay too. I
need to post more pics most of these are pretty old now. *sigh* I can do artsy
embroidery & airbrushing. I can paint dragons and whatnot over just about
anything so if you already have something you want embellished, we can meet
up. I order real
(or faux) suede, fur and leather from a dealer to make doublets and vests, so
let me know what you are looking for. I posted some pics here in no
particular order but they are mostly from a LOTR/renaissance wedding I did
for my cousin. Right now I
have bucketloads (is that even possible??) of dark silk velvets left over
from painting capes at Renaissance Festival. I had so much left I made red
velvet curtains for my home movie theatre. I can pretty
much sew anything I see, as long as you have a pic or two I
can do it. I don't like to use patterns anymore, but if you have one I can
use it. $ is optional but I prefer bartering for stuff/favors rather than
payment. I sew your costume, you fix my damn dishwasher. (Yea i'd do it but I
don't WANNA) HA! Custom tweaking is my specialty. I once altered a doublet
for a especially for a violin player so it gave more
room for movement, and hey, you can't juggle in something restrictive either.
Doh! Love and kisses,
Miss Kat |

Full Metal Alchemist - Edward Elric (later episode version) After this pic was taken I later
wired the whole trim inside with black copper wire and it gave way more
definition and the collar stood straight up like a champ - more pics later, I
just got back from wearing it in
Ed inspiration (old version of costume):
Full Metal Alchemist - Roy Mustang, no wait, Maes Hughes
Umm, someone please tell Darren he
looks more like Maes Hughes than
Kat with bonus late-night bed hair and no makeup!
Faux Wolf fur + real Leather Barbarian vest. The final vest had layers of thick leather scraps sewn into a dragon face on the back. I think I broke about 6 needles sewing it.
Some of my custom painted capes
A chiropractors custom order, no really
The Frost Dragon
Some close ups
Ultra cute dragon
Some fun customs
This dragon gave me a hard time, I'm red green- colorblind.
Everyone loves painted poofy hats
Andrea in Beauty & the Beast as one of the "three Gaston gals". Andrea got one of my most well-made double sided corsets too. No pattern used either. Woo!
I whipped these up in about 2 hours.
D goes all Neo on me.
D starred in Rigoletto in Michigan Opera Theatre. I didn't make the outfit, but I can.
Some ren-fair glam in crushed velvet. My hot neighbor provided free modeling services.
I also borrowed her gorgeous kids
The wedding I did for my cousin, I didn't pick the shiny flashy red satin, but it actually looks neat.
The final dress had embroidery, but here is a work in progress pic
I made me & my sis-in law a
cute wench outfits. My bro-ham in law scored a vest & pants from me
Pam snatched my outfit for a Halloween party but she looked hot so it's ok
Some more suede doublets. I line them with fake suede to save on costs.
More and more grommets
Like I said, I didn't pick that
red, but it came out kinda......fab & flashy? Custom swashbuckler sleeves give me a headache..heh
Coolest fake suede vest ever. The groom wore it.
Turns out I am the coolest aunt ever, I made these outfits for my nieces for Christmas. I later found out that the green outfit was worn to school a couple times and earned me the additional title of "AWESOME AUNT"
Michigan Renaissance Faire a couple years ago working the henna booth. Lol....I started working out after that and lost 20 pounds somewheres. If you find it, please do not give it back.
LOTR inspired :)
A few kiddie pirate commissions
Even more skirts & etc.
A 3x suede commission
